Seminar on Topological K-theory
Topological K-theory is an invariant of topological spaces built out of vector bundles. The seminar develops its basic properties (homotopy invariance, excision and Bott periodicity) and closes with two classical applications: the number of linearly independent vector fields on a sphere, and the classification of the real division algebras.
